Do You Think They’d Steal This Sign?

Filed under: Grace Notes — Jess at 7:41 pm on Tuesday, October 21, 2008

It was with some trepidation that I put our brand new, just arrived Obama-Biden yard sign out in the rock patch the size of a postage stamp that poses as our front “yard,” due to the increasingly angst-ridden letters to the editor about all the political signs in town being stolen. If it disappears, I’ll have to find a way to make one like this.

We had one yard sign stolen, but it’s replacement has had no trouble. A member of my congregation also had a sign stolen.

So far, so good.

And I know the Geezer-Dingbat sign is mean spirited, but I can’t help laughing at it. Especially after Palin “mischaracterized” the role of the Vice President for the FOURTH time as “in charge of the Senate.” Egad.

I think these people have the right idea on signs:

That Geezer-Dingbat is funny.

Your stepmother thought we should get one of the “Geezer/Dingbat” signs for our yard. Then she realized it wasn’t supposed to be identifying the homeowners.

Now, now — she’s not a dingbat! ;-)

Ahem. Are you calling your father a geezer? I really want one of those signs. Unless you’re calling me a dingbat.

I wouldn’t dream of it. ;-)
