A Look Back — The Stole of Nodes

Stole of Nodes

Clerical stole made of wool crepe, with Warm and Natural cotton batting. The lines of color are very narrow silk ribbon, couched onto the surface with invisible nylon thread, with Metrosene in the bobbin, quilted all the way through. The binding is piping made from the same wool crepe on the bias, filled with cotton cording. The “Nodes” are individual unique buttons, sewn on by hand. Photo quality is not great, due to challenges of light and the varied materials.

Grown Up Artist

Picasso said, “All children are artists. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up.”

Thinking outside the box. Letting myself play with whatever speaks to me at the moment.

This is why I have created this new space, to let myself gather and collect and show off various aspects of my creative journeying.

I work mostly in fabric, but am branching out into handwork, paper and glue, pixels, lights and shadows. I’m always looking for feedback — how does what you see here speak to you? What are you exploring, yourself?
