Viral Finger Knitting?!

Back in September, I taught my daughter’s first grade class how to finger-knit. It was fun and chaotic and exhausting.

Some Wood

wood

tree root, or remains of a stump, on the Canada Bonita trail at Pajarito

There was something about this root, or knot, or remains of a stump that caught my eye in the woods last fall. It’s the beginning of something, much larger under the surface, perhaps. Or the end of something that was once more giant than one small being can imagine.

Picasso said, “All children are artists. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up.”

Thinking outside the box. Letting myself play with whatever speaks to me at the moment.

This is why I have created this new space, to let myself gather and collect and show off various aspects of my creative journeying.

I work mostly in fabric, but am branching out into handwork, paper and glue, pixels, lights and shadows. I’m always looking for feedback — how does what you see here speak to you? What are you exploring, yourself?
